Cloud-Native Security Monitoring with Extended Detection and Response (XDR)
Abstract
Traditional security monitoring tools often fail to provide comprehensive visibility into complex cloud-native environments. This paper presents a cloud-native Extended Detection and Response (XDR) framework that consolidates security telemetry from cloud workloads, network traffic, and user activity. The proposed system uses machine learning-based correlation engines to identify multi-stage attacks and automate threat responses. The paper evaluates the system’s performance using real-world cloud attack scenarios, showing high accuracy in threat detection and response times. The study highlights the importance of XDR in enhancing situational awareness and incident response in modern cloud environments.
